Specs? 2 poles... not 6?!?!?!

Ranked #1804 - 3-Season Tents

Don't know where Backcountry gets their specs... The Seedhouse SL 3 has 2 separate poles (not 6), one pole runs the long axis of the tent with a "V"-hub at the front and back. The second pole aligns width-wise across the tent, puling the tent wider at the middle, and making the sides almost vertical.
This is a fabulous tent, it is certainly not the biggest 3-person tent out there, but I think it has the best interior-space to weight ratio I've seen. The only negative for me is that the vestibule is on the small side, and steeply sloping (not a lot of vertical height in most of the vestibule). The top of the rainfly-vestibule door is vertically over the bottom/base (ground level) of the mesh tent canopy, which in rainy conditions can let some water drip onto the tent from the top of the door when opening in the rainfly. Despite this issue, this is still my favoite backpacking tent. I mostly use the tent as a roomy-2-person backpacking tent. It is weight competitive with other 2-person backpacking tents, and much roomier. Plenty of room for two people and all gear inside. With only two inside it is easy to share the one door at the "head" of the tent (no climbing over each other to get out).
