A welcome and easy to use piece

Once you figure out how to use this, it's so simple and easy and it's everything built into one. I'd been using thin runners to clip in the anchors during hanging belays for multipitches and as much as I trust those things for everything else and know they're amazing, my mind would always look at them and think they looked like old shoelaces. Then there was the rearranging of gear or hands to rappel or belayâ¦etc. This seems like it lets you do all those things on one piece and minimizes the unclipping or tying or whatever you have to do. One less thing for me to remember to do or double check is welcome. Plus it has the added bonus of seeing a big sturdy blue thing holding me on when I cleaned the anchors for the first time and untied myself from the rope. Piece of mind when climbing goes a long way.

I've been using this mostly to clip into anchors but on a recent week climbing in Joshua Tree I decided to get comfortable with using it to rappel off. I can't say enough about the piece of mind it's given me. This probably won't apply to many other climbers but to those with my problem, it's great. I have waist length hair and even with double and triple checking it before each rappel I carry a small knife in my pocket in case it ever gets stuck in my ATC and I have to give myself an impromptu haircut. Using this sling to rappel off of puts my ATC at about face level with a much lower chance of needing a hair cut. Huge relief...though I'm still double and triple checking my hair each time. (I'm commenting on my own review so what)
