Back Country's shipping and communication was excellent and for that THEY should get a resounding 5 stars, but Columbia let me down like they've never let me down before. First of all, the sizing is totally off. My just-turned-8-year-old who happens to fall in the 50th percentile for size could barely squeeze into the jacket which was labeled a size 8. It is not even too big for a 6 year old to whom we passed it down. For a rain jacket, it is only waist high and putting the hood up made the back of the jacket ride up even more, so the modified tail that most rain jackets have these days so you can ride a bike is nonexistent. Unfortunately I could not return it because it arrived the day I needed to turn my son's gear in for his first Outdoor Ed. field trip and all he needed was his rain jacket. Luckily it didn't rain, but since I had taken the tags off, I passed it down to a neighbor's son. So beware of the sizing and style if you're looking for a real rain jacket...but thank you Back Country for going out of your way to get it to us!
