This coat is a great one to wear in all conditions- be it snow, sunny or even the occasional downpour. I happened to be wearing it one night that turned epic (i.e. downpour and lightning) and it held it's own, even if by no means is it considered waterproof. However, it is one hundred percent windproof. One of the best hybrid soft shells made- Gore windstopper front and arms and house brand Apex soft shell for a little breathability under the arms and sides.
