Ranked #391 - Midweight Sleep Pads
May 11, 2009
After sleeping for a few nights in my old and dated sleeping pad, I was freezing in 40 degree weather; I got a new one, another Therarest. Then I had a problem. I loved pad so much, I kept it in from of the TV. Guess my cat loved it too, layed on it, and punctured it with his claws (does that when he's really happy). Two down then I got the TOUGHSKIN. So far I've stayed warm and the cat can enjoy it at home too. The R rating seems to be pretty serious and is higher than the other pads but does add some extra weight. I did get the Short one to save a little bit of weight when backpacking. With the carrying bag, it packages into something very portable. I would recommend it.
