Disappointed

Ranked #374 - Women's Hiking Shoes

I should qualify this by saying I've worn these shoes just about every day for the past year. I've had these shoes for about a year and a half. Although they fit well and have kept my feet dry, I don't think I would buy North Face again. Any initial support I originally felt with the insole quickly deminished and I found myself trying to wear them with inserts which was most uncomfortable due to the shallow footbed. They just don't seem to have held up nearly as well as I expected..

It's best to alternate shoes -- that is, son't wear the same shoes 2 days iin a row. Also, you probably have much more than 500 miles on those shoes. Regardless, shoes you use regularly should only be worn for 6 months. I read most of this in 'Runer's World'. You should expect any shoe that you wear every day for a year to 'HOLD UP'.. Good luck!
