It's nice somebody's making a jacket so the unreconstructed gear head blends in a bit easier in the public forum of airports, city streets, etc. It's certainly pretty enough, but doesn't really have much useful function. The front metal zipper is maybe more fashion statement than function driven, and the collar is good provided you are inside a building. My main bitch is its functionality or lack thereof. It's very tight under the arms for me, though I am a robust medium at 5'9" and 170 lb,s which definitely limits it for layering purposes. The outer pocket is almost inaccessible and so doesn't serve the purpose of easy passport/ticket access. I get the feeling it was designed on a computer screen and never actually field tested. It's also not particularly light. Hope they try again, so gear heads can look urbane and casual.
