This is my first kayak and I'm very happy with it. I bought the 12' and there is plenty of room for me. I'm 6'3 210lbs. If you like to do lightweight backpacking, there is plenty of space to go out for a 4 day weekend. If youre looking for speed I would go with a day touring kayak.
