This sleeping pad is a terrific improvement over self-inflating pads. I am 58 years old, with arthritis and getting up in the mornings was torture. The padding with the Air Core is excellent, and I sleep much better. I like the weight, but I especially like the compact carry. I am not a UL hiker, but I try to limit both the weight and the volume I carry.
