Super G holder, must be removed from rack when bike is not being carried

This is a very good product, especially for downhill/freeride bikes. It really holds the bike perfectly. The problem is, according to Thule Customer Service, that this holder cannot be left mounted to the rack when you are not carrying a bike. The problem is that the front bars, the ones that hold the front tire, are completely loose when they are down. This is very dangerous, since if you do a hard stop the front bar can open by itself due to the inertia and it my damage the holder to say the least. Im afraid it might break and hit the wind shield or other part of the car.
I guess thats why Thule says that it must be removed when not carrying the bike. I cant believe that they have designed it without a simple strap method for the front bars. So, for that reason, thumbs down.
