I tried on this shoe more than 9 months ago in a retail store. I was impressed with the way it fit my foot and with the exceptional ground feel and stability.
I was initially disappointed in the shoe when I finally ordered and received it. I found the sole liner to be very cheap, like in a discount store brand shoe. I didn't expect this in a shoe which retails for over $100. Despite my concern, I elected NOT to purchase an expensive aftermarket footbed and decided to just wear them like they were. After a couple weeks of intermittent wear I took them on a desert hike in Nevada last week and can't fault them whatsoever. The exterior sole traction is superb, especially on loose gravel and rocks. They were exceptionally comfortable after 10 plus miles daily. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable low cut trail hiking shoe.
