Well built, but note quite ergonomic enough

By Ranked #1231 - Luggage April 22, 2009

This is a really well built bag from a structural point of view, really heavy duty and strong, almost indestructible.

Its also very comfortable to wear when loaded. I have a bad back but don't even really notice this thing with a 5D, five lenses, 3 flashes, metal flash adapters and other accessories, paperwork in the front pocket, etc. Really impressed with the comfort.

Having the opening for the main part closer to the body seems okay to use if you put the bag down to get at the camera, you don't pick up dirt and stuff on the side that goes next to your body.

Couple of gripes though. All the side pockets work better with the bag on its back - which means if you have the bag open to get at your camera, anything in the side pockets will want to fall out if you open them. Also, really have problems finding the best pockets for all the little stuff that winds up in little pockets - ergonomically not the handiest bag. I have a backpack camera bag that I bought off ebay for $40 or so, which - ergonomically - was perfect. Everything I needed was easy to get at, and was held in place well. But the thing fell apart after less than a year.
