I bought the 165cm for my 156cm board. It fits with plenty of extra space in the main compartment. The padding seems sufficient, but I haven't taken it on a plane yet. The pockets fit my gloves, goggles, extra socks without a problem and can fit much more. I'm unable to fit my size 10 boots in them, but they will fit in the main compartment with my board if I position them correctly. The only thing I was expecting but didn't find was some sort of velcro strap or something to secure the board in the main compartment.
