Pluses? Stable. Huge cockpit so it is very easy to climb in and out. Room for the dog - Vizsla - too. Tracks well. Carries up to 350+ lbs yet light enough to lift up to a Thule rack on top of a Saturn VUE. Great price - $399 on sale at D*ck's Sporting Goods.
Minuses? Huge cockpit so you tend to get wetter than in a boat with more coverage. Splash, paddle drip etc. Answer for me was to get a skirt. The bulkhead compartment is definitely not watertight. No big deal. Bought silicon caulk and resealed it. Worse feature is the seat. It's junk. Poor design. Mine broke and was replaced under warranty. Made some mods to the seat back with the hopes of preventing future breaks. I also drilled a hole in the bow and installed a Harmony threaded drain cap.
Overall not a bad first boat.
