I am a huge fan of Merino baselayers - it's the only gear I wear underneath on the mountain. There is no itching, no stink and they are worth every penny. Personally I prefer Icebreaker gear - the thumb holes are so useful and if Smartwool would adopt them I would prefer them....

This is a fantastic buy, once you go Merino, you'll never go back to man-made.
