Decent bag, fair price

For a guy my size, it's tough to find a comfortable bag, let alone a mummy bag. If you're an extra-large person, it's doubtful that you'll find a better fart sack than this one.

The last bag I had was the 3-piece army issue one; it kept me warm up to my nipples, the rest of my body was SOL.

This one has all the features you could want, like the foot box that has a little blanket pocket for your feet, so you can open the toe end AND keep bare feet covered at the same time. It's also got a little muff patch of what feels like goretex at chest level inside the bag, so you can store your hands. Whatever it's made of, it kept my fingers warm.

It comes in a mesh bag and has its own stuff sack, one that doesn't have any compression straps, making it somewhat bulky, but let's face it, what did you expect from a bag called 'Goliath?' I suppose a good seamster could lash a few nylon buckles to it and crush it down to the size of your lower leg (thigh if you're a marathoner).

I haven't had the opportunity to test this under the stars or in icy conditions, but I'd say this would be more than enough for the 3-season. With a good bivy cover or a 2-man tent (i like to stretch out), this is ideal for car camping, though probably too heavy-duty for extended backpacking.

This is a great bag. Not perfect, but, basically the only one on the market for the giants walking among us.
