The cooling effect is nice; as these are the first "running" socks I've bought, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Here are the pros: they're comfy, cushiony and venting. cons: they're a little small; i almost suggest you go up one size bigger. The only other thing I don't like about them is that the seam seems to run right over my toes; a pet peeve of mine.
