It could have been a fluke, but i had to end a backpacking trip early once becuase of this water purification system. I was only used for five days(4 people) and clogged up so bad that stopped working. luckly we had some backup tablets to get us the rest of the way back

Depending on the quality of the water you are filtering, the ceramic can get pretty gunked up and the water will start to filter slowly or seemingly not at all. That is then up to the user to always carry your scour pad with the filter itself when things like this arise. A little rinsing and rubbing of the ceramic cylinder and it will be working like new.
