My second pair of these

I bought my first pair of Tempest Lo at least 3 or 4 years ago and they have been great all-around kickers. They were recommended for me since I have fairly narrow feet. I suppose the fact that the lace-up starts very close to the front of the shoe helps with support of my narrow feet.
I got them on sale for around $80 then and finding them at $70 (for the blue/grey style) now was great. They are well worth it, probably even at $110/pair.
My original pair held up very well over the past few years, but I decided to get a new pair after wearing holes through the fabric on the inside heels of the shoes. I still had plenty of traction on the soles and the rest of the shoes were in great shape. I wore the shoes at least 4-5 days of the week. I find it slightly annoying that I wore through something on the shoe that cannot be easily repaired, but I suppose 3 or 4 years of regular use on an $80 pair is fair.
The new pair is was mostly comfortable for me right out of the box and after a couple of weeks of wear they are already fully broken in. I agree with jus_gary that the change to hooks for the top eyelets was a very nice improvement.
I am looking forward to several more years of enjoying these shoes. Let's hope they don't get too crazy with their redesign in the future. When I find something I like, I always hope I can replace it with the same when the time comes.
Cheers!
