Ranked #352 - Big Mountain Freeride Skis

I corresponded via e-mail with Sam Warren from Icelantic Headquarters in Denver, as I was figuring out what length to buy. I'm 6'5" 205, expert skier and Sam guided me to the 173 as an everday ski. Bought them without even so much as a demo. Best ski purchase I've ever made.
Spent a fantastic week in Big Sky Montana with my new Shamans. Unbelievable stability at mach speed, ZERO chatter, even on the 173s.The big surface area of these skis makes them ski longer than they are. Superior float in the pow, try as you may, they will not nosedive on you at any speed. Ultra maneuverable in steep bumps. The Shamans will slay East Coast trails too. They are easily put on edge. despite the 100 underfoot. I may never ski my Salomon Sandstorms again.
Be prepared for endless conversations on the ride to the top, the topsheet graphics are wacked !!! People cannot resist asking you what you're skiing on.
Icelantic is a big "Up and Comer" in the business.
