I got one (although I want to upgrade to the pricier CRKT ABC ER Knife). I have used it on my PFD on approx 500 river trips (whitewater kayaking). It has never fallen out, although I have friends who have lost theirs. If you are worried about that -- any knife can fall out of a sheath. Just attach a cord to it.
It is a great peace of mind -- you would never want to be handling a rope near the water if you didn't have a trustworthy knife at hand to get you out of a predicament.

Thisgerber knife saved a boy's life a couple of years ago. I was floating down the Snake River in Wyoming with my scout troop when we got caught on a log right as soon as we were going into some rapids. Everybody got thrown out except for one boy whose life jacket got caught on the front. He couldn't keep his head above water, and he couldn't unhook himself. I swam over to him, cut him free, and we saved his life and the raft. It's the fork in the river right after Big Bertha. Do you guys know what I'm talking about?
