Ranked #1150 - Men's Hiking Shoes
March 23, 2009
I do a LOT of hiking (3 to 4 days a week) mainly in rocky mountainous terrain. I've tried a lot of hiking shoes but the Chameleon Hex is my shoe of choice hands down above all others. It's super light weight, has a very flexible sole, excellent tread that sticks like glue to rocks, logs and trail, and breathes like no other shoe I've owned. I found that there's very little to no break in time with them. They're unbelievably comfortable. They aren't waterproof like the Chameleon ISO but I wouldn't trade the breathability of the hex for it. I wasn't sure about the draw string feature at first but the shoe literally fits like a glove. The only time I even crank down on the draw string is when I'm hiking. Wearing it casually you wouln't even need to. I just bought my second pair for the upcomming spring / summer. If you're an agile, quick paced explorer that wants comfort this is the best of the best!
