I have very average feet, I bought 1/2 size large and they fit nicely out of the box. When compared to hiking boots and not tennis shoes they quickly fit nicely for extended wear. The toe box is not as large as my other Keens (everyday shoes bronx I think) but the other reviews are correct most of the adapting was in the heels. After 2 days they are like gloves.
