Gear Review
Rustic Elegance

Ranked #619 - Men's Synthetic Insulation Jackets

The Jesse James coat is reminiscent of a posh hotel in Jackson Hole with rustic elegance and western flare. There are more technical coats out there for the more serious alpinists but none quite as stylishâdesigned for the avid skier on the mountain as well as around town. The fit is true, with enough room beneath to allow a 200 weight fleece, though it is comfortable down to 20 degrees F with only a base layer shirt. There are many pockets to store gear and personal items; 2 on each side of the chest, sealed with a metal button and Velcro and 2 at waist level, sealed with taped zippers; as well as 1 vertical pocket on the left chest, sealed with a taped zipper. The coat would be more waterproof if the main zipper was taped, but it is a regular zipper making it more convenient to get on and off. The cuffs have two Velcro strips to tighten and the waist has pullies to cinch. Each triceps has two metal rivets for added style. The only downside I found was the lower pockets require two hands to unzip. Overall this is a head turning coat. If you enjoy the decor of Aspen and Park City, this coat is for you. Medium Size sleeve length is 35 inches and Center back length is 31 inches
