I rode these poles for about a month with no problem then after writing the review below the tip of one of them fell of. I contacted backcountry and they quickly sent me a new pair of poles though, Love Backcountry.com

I had to zip tie mine when the red toothed rings broke. Still works it's just not as easy having to cut the old zip tie off then re-zip tie a new one on.
