I'm new to hydration bladders, so I'm not sure if there was a small bite valve on older versions of camelbak bladders or what. I ordered one of these along with my bladder and to my surprise this is the same size as the one that came with my bladder. I bought them about a year ago. I'm not upset or anything, but the only reason I bought this valve was becuz all the reviews I read on the bladders talked about having to have the big bite valve to make the bladder 110% kick arse...so hopefully this review may save someone a few bucks who is looking into one and not sure about the bite valve size like I was or maybe for some who may own an older version or similar bladder with comparable drinking tube looking for a bigger bite valve. At least I have a back up as I'm sure the bladder is going to last quite a few seasons, if not a lifetime!
