END Stumptown 12oz Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Awesome, but NOT waterproof

By Ranked #1528 - Men's Trail Run Shoes March 2, 2009

Been swapping back and forth between these and the Montrail Streak on trail runs. Trying to decide which of these lighter weight trail shoes work better for me. The Stumptown 12oz is lighter, and the sole is much softer and way more flexible. I like that it folds around rocks and allows me to "feel" the trail better -- but I would doubt that this will work for everyone. Because of the minimalist construction, they do dry out quickly after running through puddles or streams -- but, in my experience, they are decidedly not waterproof as James states below.

If you need waterproof buy a shoe that has 'GTX' or eVent in the title.

I agree with your assessment... these are definitely NOT waterproof in the least. They do shed light rain, but sloppy weather soaks right through them. They are great shoes though... very simple in design.
