The Edelweiss Axis was my first climbing rope, and has done really well sport climbing and top-roping lots of followers. At 10.3 mm is handles well without being too bulky, and it's 10 fall rating inspires confidence over several years of use. I used this rope for about three years on sandstone in Kentucky, and I would say the sheath is in good shape - it's durable as all hell.
I wouldn't however, recommend this rope for alpine, trad, or areas where long approaches are the norm, as the 60m weighs in at ~9.5 pounds. Perfect for someone who's climbing with lots of beginners and plans on being really hard on their cord.
