This was my first pair of trail runners and I am so glad i bought the Salomon XA's the gortex lets you run in the rain, and during all weather conditions. I bought a second pair just for work. I'm constantly outside and one of my biggest complaints was having my socks wet within the first hour of work. These hold up like a dream, and always keep you dry. The quick lace system is awesome and durable
