AT for the Alps
By jaycoburn2448385
Ranked #720 - Telemark Skis and Alpine Touring Skis
February 20, 2009
Wanted a medium-light AT ski with a shorter turning radius than the Atomic R:EX that I had been using. These fit the bill very well. Spent a week in Chamonix and a week in the Berner Oberland in conditions from powder to ice and corn to crud - skis handled all with competence and control. I am 54 years old, 6'1" advanced/expert - on 175 cm with diamir FR Plus I find plenty of float and edgehold. Can not comment on high speed performance - I bought these to ski under control in remote, steep, committed backcountry where I can not risk injury and I do not want to rely on a runout. I recommend them highly.
