I bought a pair of these and a couple of pairs of Desert Storm's for a recent ascent of Aconcagua. The Air Force's are my favorite of the two styles; they are higher above the ankle and therefore fit a mountaineering boot better. I've been using them for cycling as well. I haven't used them long enough to comment on longevity, but they have a lot of life left in them. Looking forward to many more trips with these puppies.
