Gear Review
Wonderful in many ways...

Ranked #1044 - Women's Rain Jackets
February 17, 2009
I just got this jacket and love it in all ways except one: as a tall person (5'11"), I find that the hood pulls a bit, as though it isn't tall enough from the shoulders to the crown. Granted, I have a very long neck, so for most people it should fit fine. But for those of you tall ladies out there - WOOT! WOOT! and/or those with long necks, the hood may tug a bit on the top of your head. Bummer.
Otherwise, I adore the cut of this jacket. Roomy (for layering underneath) without being unflattering, simple detailing that makes it stand out (the black has a deep red zipper, which I love), and the waterproof quality seems quite good. I haven't been outside in a downpour yet, but it has withstood a gentle rain for an hour with no problem.
Also, the arms are wonderfully long, which I love in a rain jacket. However, if you're wee in stature, the arms may be TOO long (practically covering your whole hand - on my long arms, the cuff hits at the knuckle), so check the measurements before buying.
