Good helmet but subwoofer piece is annoying

This is a decent helmet. It's warm and comfortable, and the earphones sound pretty good.... but the whole music setup could have been designed much better. Here's what I didn't like:
1) The button on the left side doesn't pause the music it just mutes - so when you're talking to your buddy on the lift you're wasting battery playing music when you're not listening to it.
2) I wear mitts and I had a hell of a time trying to hit the volume and mute buttons with them on. Not really the helmet's fault I guess..but just a heads up.
3) The headphones can't be connected to anything unless you have the subwoofer thing attached first because it uses a special jack between the earphones and the helmet. During the day the weight of the subwoofer piece would keep causing the jack to disconnect.
4) Two days running I forgot to take the subwoofer part out of one jacket and put it in the other and I couldn't listen to any tunes all day. I've got enough stuff to carry around without wanting to worry about some little piece of plastic.
All in all I wish I'd just bought the regular helmet without the "Subwoofer System" and got some in-ear earphones with a little remote attached. I just seem to be spending too much time tooling around with this helmet for it to be worthwhile.
