Ranked #613 - Weekend Packs (3000-4500 cu in)
February 11, 2009
this pack has space for it all and will support your back while you're doing it. comfortable for multi day high mileage hiking once you dial the shoulder and waist straps in. the sleeping bag compartment is very useful. I have a Lafuma sleeping bag thats super small, so I keep food packed there or wet/dirty clothes to keep them separated from my other gear. went bushwhacking through rhododendron in the Smokies, and no rips, tears, busted buckles, or broken anything, which was a small miracle. The material is fairly water resistant and very durable. This is a great simple weekend pack, but has plenty of space to easily organize map and compass in top compartment, a large main compartment with top/bottom/side access, sleeping bag drawcord compartment, and outside pouches for odds and ends. I also like the fact I can remove the waist support, and slide skis in fairly simply for backcountry snow adventures.
