I wear this thing as my only outer layer in 20 deg temps. If you layer right underneath it does the job - sure your arms get chilly but it is a vest, after all.
Perfect for layering: I wear a base layer, this vest, and a bombproof HH shell on the slopes and I'm fine - even need pit zips open half the time!
