Gear Review
Pricey but worth it

I bought these for skiing after reading lots of reviews and lots of less-than-scientific marketing literature.
Putting these on felt like it took about 10% of my weight off my knees. That made a big difference after a day on unforgiving icy crud snow.
If you are going skiing with these, consider the insulated version. I think the uninsulated are meant for running, since they are very effective at transferring heat away from your body. Not always a good thing when you are sitting on a lift with frigid winds tearing across the mountain.
You may have to burn the waist tie ends. Mine frayed after a single washing. I have not had the "riding down" problem that some people have mentioned. They could have put a fly in, though.
Bottom line, I hated paying for them, but I'm glad I have them.
