Ranked #124 - Men's Ski Jackets
February 2, 2009
I have had this coat for about a month. I had an Arc'Teryx Patriot that I love, but the zipper started splitting. I have come to learn that the quality of Arc'Teryx from China is not what it was from Canada. This coat is also from China, but is made more durable, and with a better zipper.
The Good: Bulletproof (not literally, of course), but when they say windproof and waterproof, they mean it. No cold or wetness gets in. Period. Whether it's 40 degrees and raining or 5 degrees, your torso won't have a clue.
The Bad: Made in China. I'm not really a snob about where my clothes are made, but I wonder if this jacket will eventually run into problems like the last one. As I said, it is much better quality, but I'm not so sure.
The OK: Very small breast pocket and very deep hand pockets. I like to put more stuff near my chest than near my stomach - wallet, cell, etc. Also, I couldn't put up the hood if the zipper was up all the way, so I'd have to unzip to get the hood on.
