Ranked #36 - Alpine Touring Boots
February 2, 2009
I've tried numerous Scarpa and Garmont AT boots, and these are my favorites! Very stiff, so great at the resort, but comfy enough for the backcountry. Be sure to get them custom molded at your local ski shop (avoid doing it in your oven at home- way better to do it on their fancy boot liner warming machine that shoots the warm air into the inside of the liner).
I am a shoe size 8, and have the 24.5.
Also- these boots are better for high volume feet. I have low volume feet, and had to have a thick custom insole put inside to make 'em work.
