Marmot Ultimate Ski Glove

Item #MAR1207 | 111 in Stock
2 Star Rating

Uncomfortable and too stiff

By Ranked #37 - Ski Gloves January 19, 2009

I agree with war2619792: these are very well made with quality throughout. However the insulation in the fingers is SO tight and stiff, that you can hardly close your hands around a ski pole handle with these gloves on. While extra long gaiters may be desirable by some, these are so long that it's virtually impossible to roll them back to check your wristwatch...the gloves measure 13" from the tip of the middle finger to the edge of the gaiter. I use the Spyder Sestriere for normal temperatures on Bristol Mtn, NY (see my review), and the BD Guides when temps drop to the single digits and below zero. Both are very well made and considerably more comfortable and functional than the Ultimate's. The Sestriere's are very stylish; the Guide's are the ultimate in warmth, especially if you have a touch of Reynaud's Syndrome as I do.
