Absolutely love these boots!

By Ranked #490 - Men's Backpacking Boots January 19, 2009

I bought these to replace my LL Bean Wildcat boots, for snow and some hiking... The Wildcats were pretty much only good in snow, but they itched my calves horribly after walking for just a few minutes - no matter what socks I wear. I saw these on SAC for about $78, they looked okay, and had a few good reviews. Did a quick search and saw that Backpacker chose these as their top choice out of 110 different boots. Hmmm... Click! bought them in size 11. I normally wear 10.5 or 11, figured I'd go 11 so I can wear extra socks.

First test - I wore them to work... all day long, at my desk, walking around, running up the stairs. They were comfy and I even got home and wasn't in a rush to take them off. Also, when I do take them off, they aren't a PITA to remove, they pretty much slip right off once I undo the top laces, unlike my other boots.

Second test was this morning. -6°F and I went for a hike in the snow... was out for about 1.5 hours. NO ISSUES. These are keepers!!! For $85 shipped through SAC - they are a steal!
