Ranked #611 - Weekend Packs (3000-4500 cu in)
January 14, 2009
I feel surprised to read so many 5 star ratings for this pack. Yes, it is a good is ski touring pack, comfortable to wear and great to have a removable lid.
However, the frame sits too high, so that for climbing, looking up is impossible with a helmet on. My attempt to take the frame out for an ascent day proved fruitless, maybe there are some instructions this somewhere, but it is not particularly straight forward. The pack would also be improved with some drain holes in the bottom, as the fabric is not very water proof.
Sorry, wouldn't recommend this pack for someone who climbs on steeper terrain.
