Nice but not vital

Well this piece came with my yakima copperhead bike rack. And it did its job until about a year later when the strap became stuck. So here i was in a sketchy neighborhood at night with this piece stuck. I could not remove my bike at all. I had to resort to cutting this hard plastic strap with a steak knife from my friends kitchen. Long story short i cut to far and ended up slashing my rear tire. So after this adventure i decided to use a 2dollar bungie cord. It might not look as cool but it will never get stuck and i will never have to worry about someone stealing it.
