Ranked #550 - Women's Softshell Jackets
January 12, 2009
I'll admit, I was skeptical about this jacket, mainly because if seems like a lightweight shell, and I wasn't sure how it would do in cold weather activities. After using it in a variety of circumstances, I am now a believer. I have worn it x country skiing and snowshoeing in cold wind, with two other layers--the hood was great going into the wind. I was aware that there was "wind" happening, but was not bothered by it. When very cold, I wore a down vest over it for a dog walk. I've since worn it on all my outings in temps of 30s and 40s with a merino wool underlayer and a warm camisole and it's been great. My arms are kind of short, so the arms fit me just fine, and I like the thumbholes. I can see wearing it for cycling also. Nice piece of equipment!
