I bought this for layering under a rain jacket, but it's pretty long and puffier than I'd expected. It still does the job and keeps me very warm. I was happy with the lighter fill because I'm pretty warm generally. It also helps to keep my pits dry(er). it even packs down reasonably well inside the chest pocket.

Do you mean you can stuff the whole vest into the chest pocket for compact storage, if so that is sweet and that may be a deciding factor in buying this
