snow kickers!

I have the atlas, electra 11 series, and while they are great for climbing up hills and steep terrain(great grip and foot movement)they kick snow. My friend has the classic MSR's and she has no problems, but I am constantly being pelted with snow from my shoes and therefore have to watch what I wear, as it can soak through lighter layers when your stripped down to work hard. I am currently looking to buy a new pair of snowshoes even though I only purchased these last year!! I would not recommend then for long flat powder or trail shoeing!
