Bought a Medium for an 8-year-old, and a Large for a 12-year-old. The Medium fit the 8YO perfectly, but the Large came in a bit short for the 12YO, who is slender with a longer torso. I know they're supposed to be short but this looks like a belly-shirt on him. The smaller child looked great in his, though. Very nice quality, the colors were beautiful, and the kids were really excited about them.

I got the XL for my 12 yo boy. Way to small. His belly was hanging out. Had to return otherwise he would end up with a rash on his stomach if he was body/boogie boarding.
