These boots are the most uncomfortable things I have ever forced my feet into. I've used them twice and both times hoping they would break-in quickly. I had to quit early both times because of the pain. The first time I tried them my feet were completely numb before I even got off the first lift. By the end of the day they had softened up a bit so I figured that they would be fine the next time. They were much softer the second time and my feet did not go numb at all. But when I took my boots off after the second time I found that the nails on my two big toes were completely black and too painful to even walk. An easy rule of thumb that I wish Salomon or the techs that supposedly helped me fit the boots would have taken into consideration: The boot should be broken in to fit the feet. The feet are not supposed to break in to fit the boot.
