i picked these up for exercise and an alternative to my winter boots for days that aren't so snowy and cold. when i got them, i didn't have my winter boots with me...the first day I wore them, i went and shoveled snow...my feet were warm and dry the entire time. they are one of the most comfortable pair of trail shoes i've ever owned. i'm seriously considering the purchase of another pair...i can't imagine a sneaker getting any more comfortable.
