The Tree Bark is a Leaker

I ordered two 40 oz. Kanteens, one stainless steel and one tree bark, just to differentiate the two. The tree bark bottle developed a leak near the top. The top curved portion of the bottle is welded or joined to the barrel portion of the bottle, this is where the leak developed. I thought that all the bottles were molded somehow in one piece. Evidently not. You can feel the seam from the inside although from the outside it looks all one piece. The stainless bottle I received is one piece (not sure why they are different) so I am returning the tree bark bottle for a stainless.
