Ranked #235 - Men's 3-in-1 Jackets
December 30, 2008
I would never belive that I'd give this rating for a CG jacket, but hey, I think they deserve it. I purchased a CG constable parka several years ago. And to my experience, that was the best jacket I'd ever had. It was warm and really comfy. Like putting on a sleeping bag. I somehow managed to sell that one, and last spring I purchased a CG Nomade from BC.com. Excellent service and shop. I live in Oslo, Norway, and they was always online and helpful. Even when the carrier managed to deliver the package to some strangers, and the jacket disapeard. (wonder why) But back to the parka. What I experienced is that it seems to me that this parka has way to little down inside. When I wear this, I start to get cold in just a few minutes on my shoulders. And when I touch my shoulders, there is very little down there. So compared to my first CG I am really disappointed. It should feel cold now, it is only like 5-10 below zero now, how will it be when it really starts to get cold here?
But all in all, it is really good quality on everything, but I think the insulation was poor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CG, but maybe not the Nomad.
